The map of bathing sites includes current information on the water quality for 2017 and grading for the period from 2013 to 2016 at identified bathing sites in the State of Brandenburg. The grading is done with the ratings "excellent", "good", "satisfactory" or "poor". New bathing sites without the required number of monitoring results are depicted as new without rating. Changes in water quality with management measures are marked "change" without rating until these measures are completed and the necessary number of monitoring results within four consecutive bathing seasons has been reached. The quality rating can be found in the complete list or at the individual bathing sites. During the bathing season, from May 15 to September 15 of each year, the data and information are updated daily.
In addition to data on microbiological parameters relevant for health reasons and current monitoring measures of the water samples, information is also available on the current visibility depth, potential algae growth or cyanobacteria toxin contamination (blue-green algae) with warnings as well as the condition of the beaches and their available infrastructure, water rescue facilities (e.g. Deutsche Lebens – Rettungs - Gesellschaft - DLRG), food, sanitary facilities, and trash disposal. Every bathing site is shown with a picture on the bathing site web page.
The bathing waters and their surroundings can be seen and printed up to the resolution of the topographical map in a scale of 1:5000. By opening the application you agree to the conditions of use. The application is free of charge.
